OnOffEther

Privacy policy

Last updated: 2 October 2026

OnOffEther is made by Divolandia Labs. This policy explains, in plain words, what the app does with your information. The short version: it collects nothing.

Information we collect

None. OnOffEther does not collect, store or transmit personal data. It has no accounts, no sign-in, no analytics, no advertising and no crash reporting. We receive nothing from your use of the app and therefore cannot identify you.

Internet connections

The app makes no connections of its own to any server, ours or anyone else's. The only exception is when you deliberately click the website link inside the About window, which opens that address in your own browser.

The app switches your Ethernet adapter on and off, but it never inspects, intercepts, filters or redirects the traffic that goes through it.

What is stored on your PC

Two preferences are saved locally in the Windows registry so the app remembers them: the theme (light or dark) and the language. They stay on your computer, are not sent anywhere and are deleted when you uninstall the app.

To read and change the state of your network adapters, the app queries the network information Windows itself provides, such as the adapter name and whether a cable is connected. That information is only shown on screen and is never stored or sent.

Children

The app is suitable for all ages and, since it collects no data, it collects nothing from children either.

Third parties

We do not share data with third parties, because we hold none. The app bundles no third-party libraries, trackers or software development kits.

If you download the app from the Microsoft Store or from GitHub, those companies apply their own privacy policies to the download itself. That part is outside our control.

Your rights

Data protection laws such as the GDPR give you the right to access, correct and delete your personal data. Since we store none, there is nothing for us to give or erase. Uninstalling the app removes the two preferences described above from your PC.

Changes to this policy

If this policy ever changes, the new text will be published on this page with its date. Any future version that involved collecting data would be announced clearly before it happened.
