Terms of use
Last updated: 2 October 2026
These terms govern your use of OnOffEther ("the app"), made by Divolandia Labs. By installing or using the app you accept them.
Licence
The app is free of charge. You may install and use it on as many computers as you like, at home or at work, and pass the unmodified installer on to other people.
You may not sell it, present it as your own work, or modify, decompile or reverse engineer it. The app, its name and its icon remain the property of Divolandia Labs.
What the app does
The app enables and disables the wired Ethernet adapters of the computer it is installed on, using the facilities Windows provides for that purpose. It needs administrator rights to be installed, because it registers two Windows scheduled tasks that perform the switching.
No warranty
The app is provided "as is", with no warranty of any kind. We cannot guarantee that it works on every hardware and software combination, nor that it is free of errors.
Turning the adapter off disconnects the computer from the wired network. You are responsible for deciding when to do that: avoid it during downloads, backups, updates or remote sessions where losing the connection would cause you a problem.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Divolandia Labs is not liable for any damage, loss of data, loss of connectivity or loss of profit arising from the use or inability to use the app. Where local law does not allow such an exclusion, liability is limited to the amount you paid for the app, which is zero.
Nothing in these terms removes consumer rights that the law of your country grants you and that cannot be waived.
Updates
The app includes no automatic updater. New versions are published on the website and on the Microsoft Store, and it is up to you whether to install them.
Changes to these terms
These terms may be updated. The current version is always the one on this page, with its date at the top.
